The 90s were Phat!!

Weren't the 90's a great time period? To me it was, I mean that was the decade I grew up in. I was born in 1987 so I don't know what was going on in the 80's but the 90's that was my time. From the fashion to the television and to the music the 90's was just way cool. It was a time were we kids actually were able to stay outside in the neighborhood late because we felt it was safe. I wish I would let a child stay out late now. They would surely be on the news. I loved when the ice cream truck would come to our neighborhood and we would use the pennies we saved to get some ice cream or we would buy the candy cigarettes(you would blow out the powder like you were blowing out smoke). What about the candy necklaces or there would actually be a candy lady in your neighborhood selling those giant dill pickles or pink cookies in a plastic bag. Let me get on the to television, this was a time where you would actually see African Americans have more than 1 show on the television oh and BET was actually poppin Rap City was good(I was forced to watch that because of my older brother) and then there was TEEN SUMMIT(knowledge is power), you had Planet Groove, and Video Soul. Man I just missed the 90's but I have a whole blog to talk about that!!
